Shipping Policy

Please note that many delivery services are currently experiencing delays due to Covid-19 and exceptionally high volumes which may result in longer delivery times.  The customs clearing process in the United Kingdom is also slower than usual as a result of changing government Covid-19 regulations and Brexit.  

We aim to ship your purchases within 1-2 working days of receiving the order. However, please allow extra days over busy holiday periods and Bank Holidays. A tracking number will be included in your shipping confirmation email. 

Most postal delivery services will make two attempts to deliver the package. We cannot be held responsible for any non-delivery of orders due to failed delivery attempts and it's your responsibility to arrange further delivery or collection directly with the postal service.

SHIPPING OPTIONS:

Our shipping rates are per parcel and delivery timescales may vary, depending on the delivery location and whether we have a special deal going on. We aim to ship orders placed before 2pm GMT on the same day although at busy times this isn't always possible. Therefore, any orders placed after 2pm GMT will have best endeavours to go out in the next business day (subject to processing times & Bank Holidays).

United Kingdom:

We offer three delivery options for the UK. (Please note that these shipping times are subject to after our 1-2 working days processing time):

1. Royal Mail 2nd Class Tracked Shipping (2-3 Business Days).

2. Royal Mail 1st Class Tracked Shipping (Next Business Day Delivery).

3. DPD Tracked Express (Guaranteed Next Business Day Delivery).

4. Free Royal Mail 2nd Class Tracked Shipping (2-3 Business Days). On all orders over £75.

United States:

We offer three delivery options for the USA. (Please note that these shipping times are subject to after our 1-2 working days processing time):

1. Priority Tracked Shipping + Insurance (3-6 Business Days).

2. Standard Tracked Shipping + Insurance (4-7 Business Days).

3. Free Standard Tracked Shipping + Insurance (4-7 Business Days). On all orders over $125.

International tracked shipping is through Royal Mail and a partner company in the US. Orders over $800 will be charged import duties, taxes, and fees by your local customs office. Therefore, please be mindful that any order that exceeds this value will be liable to taxes and duties.

Europe:

We offer three delivery options for Europe. (Please note that these shipping times are subject to after our 1-2 working days processing time):

1. Priority Tracked Shipping + Insurance (2-4 Business Days).

2. Standard Tracked Shipping + Insurance (3-5 Business Days).

3. Free Standard Tracked Shipping + Insurance (3-5 Business Days). On all orders over €120.

International tracked shipping is through Royal Mail and a partner company in the EU. Please be mindful as per EU's regulation on customs duties and taxes, there maybe an additional cost to be handled post Brexit.

UNCLAIMED/RETURN TO SENDER:

If a parcel is unclaimed and sent back to us, shipping costs will reapply to have the parcel resent. If the customer refuses to pay customs charges and the parcel is returned to us all shipping charges will be deducted from any refund. Please see below for further information regarding Brexit & customs charges.

POSTAL DELAYS:

Countrydale cannot be held responsible for any postal or delivery delays which would be out of our control.  Including but not limited to the following: Customs, service strikes, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, weather, disease, natural disasters, fire, or failure of telecommunications networks.

If your delivery is damaged in any way, it is important that you contact us via email at support@countrydale.co.uk within 48 hours, otherwise, the delivery companies may not accept a claim.

CUSTOMS PAYMENTS & BREXIT:

Countrydale™ operates on a Delivery Duty Unpaid  (DDU) basis which means that the buyer is responsible for any import duties, taxes, and customs that may be necessary to release an order from international customs.

Following the UK leaving the EU on 1st January 2021 (BREXIT), there have been some changes to customs and duty charges for EU customers.  Tax and import duty varies from country to country so we recommend you check first with your local tax office to see if any fees will be payable.  

If the customer refuses to pay any duty and customs charges and the parcel is returned to sender all shipping charges will be deducted from any refund. No refund will be made until the returned parcel has been received by ourselves.  Please note that parcels that have been 'returned to the sender can take up to 3 months to arrive.
